Reviewer: Dean Brown, DAHB Music

I am not only a fan, but I'm also a friend - I'll try to be impartial.

You'll need a mind open to new experiances to enjoy the show and the CD. Lavarius leaps off the stage right at you, imposing his 6'+ lithe body around the room, and beyond. At side stage there is a small suitcase of props to integrate into and modify the songs and the spaces inbetween. His antics may amuse some but they keep the audience focused, entertained and wondering what will come next. For most, the music should be enough though: loud, driving rock form the foundation for his wailing, deep vocal style. Each song is different from the last, with varying tempos and moods. This is the kind of band you either love or hate. Spend a night in a smokey bar near Queen St. with them. You might find that you'll be humming the melody from Always, Captured or Now Is The Time all the way home.

Lavarius' new CD, LAVA, captures the feeling and energy from his live shows. Some songs rock - Original Creation, Now Is theTime, This Is, or Fire - while others just let wash over you - Results, Smooth Sailing, or Look At The Man. Just put the CD in, turn off the lights, turn it up loud and let the music take over.

Hey Larri - Thanks for the CD - EXCELLENT!!

Congratulations - it sounds great and certainly captures that unique
Lava-vibe. I was talking to Craig Skala about it too and he had nothing but
good things to say, so good luck. Rick did a great job too, say Hi for me.

                  Best regards - Terry
