Lavarius (aka Lava) is an artist, musician and filmmaker. Lava is the pioneer of the 3D High Light Therapy box .
His paintings have been exhibited in Workman Arts’ annual exhibit, ‘Being Scene’, as well as at various group shows. He has been awarded participation in the Jean Simpson Studio.
Ryerson film students took notice of Lava’s premier solo show, which resulted in a self titled documentary. “Lavarius”, premiered at Rendezvous With Madness (2005) and screened at the Worldwide Short Film Festival (2006).
His second solo art exhibit at Show Gallery (2006), Damn Beaver, brought media attention from Toronto Star’s Peter Goddard.
Lava’s 3rd solo art exhibit,” Remedial” at the Show Gallery (2008),sold out in record time.
His first short film “The Power of Water” was screened at Rendezvous with Madness Film Festival (2005) in conjunction with LIFT, and also at the 2nd World Water Forum Festival in Mexico on World Water Day (2006).

In June of this year “The Power of Water” will be showing at the Environmental film festival in. Barcilona,Spain
He is presently working with the Credit Valley Conservation authority, in Mississauga, on his new documentary about, the reappearance of the riverbank Beaver called , Canadian Beaver Tail.
